Ditch the grocery store dyes and spend some quality time with children coloring Easter Eggs naturally.

P. Allen Smith shows you how to color beautiful eggs with items from nature:

Make coloring your Easter eggs even more fun with ingredients from the garden.  It’s a great way for kids to connect with the environment and I find that the colors are softer and more pleasing than commercial egg dyes.  Click here for step by step instructions.

This Easter, Make Mine Chocolate!

Mmc_logo_brown_backsm_3

Make Mine Chocolate! dedicated and committed to educating the public about the responsibilities involved in keeping a companion rabbit before bringing one home.

It is that time of year again when many adults are considering getting a real rabbit for the little ones.  If you are not prepared to give the proper amount of love and care for ten years or more, then you, as the adult should seriously reconsider and choose a gift more befitting such as a stuffed or chocolate bunny

Did you know that veterinary rabbit care is essential and can cost more than cat or dog care?  It is true and live rabbits need a lot of time spent with them from their human owners, they should not just be left in cage and fed, think about it, that is not a good life.

Are you wondering if you and your household would be a good match for a live rabbit?  Visit the Interactive Bun to find out just what is involved in keeping a rabbit.

Visit the Make Mine Chocolate! website for a wealth of information on everything you need to know before bringing a real rabbit home.

If you have a blog, please feel free to copy this post and help to spread the message, the bunnies thank you!

Giada, Favorite Cooking Show

Giada_3Photo courtesy of the Food Network

At the gym there are two TV sets in the area where the treadmills, bikes and ellipticals are located and nearly always, there is at least one tuned into a cooking show.  If I can see that they are using fresh ingredients and little or no meat, I'll usually plug my MP3 headset in and have a listen.  I really like Giada.

The Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis, is one of my favorite cooking shows, she is soft spoken, clear and prepares the most delicious recipes that I would never even think to make, like this Roasted Acorn Squash and Gorgonzola Pizza

She also prepares some wonderful fish and pasta dishes, Tilapia with Purple Potato Crust and Chive Rosemary Oil and Lemon Spaghetti sound delicious.  I have made a similar version of the Lemon Spaghetti, but added steamed broccoli and cauliflower to it.

There has been a good amount of visits here landing on my entry for Grilled Salmon & Zucchini Dinner, so I Googled Grilled Salmon Dinner and see that at this time, it comes up on page two of the search results.  I hope some of you prepared and enjoy it, it is a delicious meal.  Do you have a favorite cooking show?

Ladies Blend pure beauty

We are pleased to announce that Ladies Blend will be opening an office in Melbourne, Florida in the Spring/Summer of 2008.

The name of our new business is Ladies Blend pure beauty, this is an excerpt from our newly designed website:  At Ladies Blend pure beauty, we combine therapeutic massage techniques with fresh, natural & organic beauty treatments, to nurture and nourish mind, body & soul.  We celebrate unique style and pamper you with our exclusive line of pure beauty products, handmade & cruelty free.  Our service menu includes beneficial and pampering treatments for face, hands & feet.

Ladies_blend_pure_beauty_ss_2 Even though this will not be an Internet business I feel that all businesses do well with the support of a even a simple website.  I bought the domain name and designed a very basic site using a TypePad blog and domain mapping.  Since there is no shopping cart to tend with, this is an economical solution and does not require a webmaster.  Thanks to domain mapping, the URL is my business name.com, nice and easy to do!

There is still a some additional content to be added to the site, along with a printable client form, a bit of tweaking and pricing.  Since Ladies Blend is my brand, I may in time route a link to that site for folks in other areas throughout the US that would like to buy gift certificates for the local people here.

You will notice no difference at the Ladies Blend website and eventually we will be offering select retail products at our new location.

You can keep up with my new dream business here at our Ladies Blend blog, I'll be posting the link to the Ladies Blend pure beauty site as soon as it is a bit more refined.

If you live in Melbourne, Florida make sure to pick up a free issue of the monthly publication Natural Awakenings.  This healthy living magazine is our choice for local advertising and is available at MANY local businesses throughout Brevard and Indian River counties.  I usually pick up my copy at the gym or Doctors office.
